Jurgen Klopp’s squad is largely injury-free and although they’ve been far from secure at the back, they’ve been producing a high level of finishing in the final third having found the net 11 times across their last three outings.
Anfield has been a fortress for the hosts this season and they’ve suffered just a single defeat in front of their own fans so far this campaign. They’ve netted 2+ goals in each of their last five matches in Merseyside and showed fantastic spirit to come from two goals down against Arsenal over the Easter weekend.
Spurs
Spurs have endured an underwhelming 2023 so far and the sacking of Cristian Stellini has done very little to turn the tide. Although their overall form this calendar year hasn’t been disastrous, they’ve struggled to win games against sides in the bottom half and dropped points against both Bournemouth and Southampton have hardly inspired confidence.
Nevertheless, they showed tremendous spirit to battle back from 2-0 down against Man United on Thursday night and they should be able to play their part in an entertaining 90 minutes in Merseyside. With 15 goals across their last three away games and another four at home to the Red Devils just a few days ago, this could be another topsy-turvy contest.
