Having secured the title, Celtic failed to win three of their last four SPL matches, yet they should be fully motivated for this showpiece event.

By their own standards, it’s been a disappointing campaign for Inverness, however, their season could end in remarkable style if they can spring a surprise at Hampden Park on Saturday afternoon.
The second tier outfit were only able to finish sixth in the table and rarely looked like challenging for promotion. They produced a terrific run for form throughout April, winning their first six matches of the month, however, that form began to tail off towards the end of the season.
Nevertheless, they’ve put together a fabulous run of form in the Scottish Cup and have seen off Queens Park, Livingston, Kilmarnock and Falkirk en-route to this stage. Having already seen off two SPL sides in this competition, they will enter this tie with a quiet confidence.
Boss Billy Dodds has described the game as about ‘miracles and fairytales’ and described the mood in the camp as ‘very good’. Having been successful in this competition as recently as 2015, Dodds will be hoping that his side can cause a monumental upset in this one-off game.

Inverness have spent the last few seasons in the second tier and a result, these two sides haven’t met since 2017. Celtic have won four of the last five meetings the Caledonian outfit and have also kept clean sheets in three of those four.
